Ing. Giorgio Checcacci

He provides consultancy in intellectual property since 1982.  From 1982 to 1991 was active both in private practice and in industry.  In 1991, he founded Porta, Checcacci & Botti, later renamed Porta, Checcacci & Associati (PCA), and left it in 2019 when founding Checcacci Partners s.r.l..

He advises clients in various aspects of Intellectual Property with a particular focus on patents and designs, including drafting, filing and prosecuting patent and design applications in Italy and worldwide. He also deals with patent and design searches. In addition, he provides validity, infringement and patentability opinions. He also developed a strong experience in patent and design litigations as Technical Expert both for the parties and for the Court.

Education

University degree in mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1982, specialization in electronic instrumentation.

Ing. Marco Tedeschi

He works in intellectual property since 1980, both in private practice and in industry.

In 1989 entered in the Intellectual Property office of Pirelli and in 1991 he took the responsibility of patenting of the Cables sector of Pirelli. In 1998, while maintaining the responsibility of patenting of Cables sector, he also took care of licensing activities for the Pirelli Group.

Since 2005 he became Director of Intellectual Property of Prysmian SpA, a role which he maintained up to 2018.

His activity was directed, among others, to patenting the most advanced technologies of optical telecommunication and of high and ultra-high voltage terrestrial and submarine cables; he successfully faced examinations, oppositions and litigations in Italy, European Patent Office, Germany and United States; he developed and implemented the policies for protection of Intellectual Property rights; he drafted and negotiated license, confidentiality and R&D agreements with major companies, universities and research centers in Italy, Europe and United States.
